Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma-qualified assistant Early Childhood Educator to join our Kinder team at Flemington Childcare Co-operative. This is a permanent full-time position.

We are looking for someone with a positive mindset, a genuine love for working with children and families, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth. Experience is preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working with the kinder teacher and the other educator to implement engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs that support the holistic development of children
• Fostering a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages children's creativity, curiosity, and self-expression
• Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to plan and adapt activities to meet their individual needs
• Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to each child's learning and wellbeing
• Maintaining a safe and clean learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent)
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training
• A current Mandatory Reporting Certificate
• A solid understanding of early childhood theories, the VEYLDF, EYLF, and NQS
• Commitment to the Child Safe Standards
• Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences
• Strong understanding of of planning cycle
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Sound written and verbal English language skills and documentation skills
