As a Security Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for leading enterprise and commercial security sales activities in the region. Working within a team environment, you will develop new pipeline, support the sales team as a subject-matter expert, achieve growth targets, and assist in producing required sales documentation such as proposals and tender responses

Your tenacious approach and ability to quickly build customer relationships and confidence will be integral to your success as will your thirst for knowledge and focus on achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert for security solutions and services in your region
  • Acquire, lead, and develop new security opportunities
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunity across your install base
  • Collaborate with a variety of resources including presale, technical consultants, account managers, professional services, and managed services teams within Data#3 and our Strategic Partners
  • Maintain a high level of expertise on Data#3 and our Strategic Vendor's security offerings and services – including certifications as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the Data#3 cyber security value proposition
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans with local Sales Managers, General Manager and Account Managers across several lines of business, aligned with the local sales/GTM strategy

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales to medium-to-large organizations and / or complex technology sales environments
  • Minimum 5 years' current security subject-matter expertise
  • Cybersecurity expertise focused around knowledge of security strategy, threat analytics solutions, products, advanced threat, identity, cloud security, and services
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment and communication of solutions value to clients
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers at all organisational levels

Skills

  • Possess the skills and traits necessary to be successful as a Security Sales Specialist such as professionalism, a sense of urgency, and a dedication to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated skills in developing high-level (Cx0) and management relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry leaders.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills that ensure clear and accurate communications with all stakeholders

Ability

  • Effective negotiation and problem resolution skills that aim to achieve a win / win situation
  • Ability to contribute to the overall goals of the organisation
  • Strong understanding of business principles. For example, understanding customer business plans, key business drivers, financial situations, funding, and decision-making processes etc.
