INTEC Energy are recruiting a Management Accountant to join our growing ANZ finance team based in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a proactive finance professional who enjoys being deeply involved across all aspects of finance, from project accounting to strategic analysis.

You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, project cost control, and insightful commercial support to both project and operational teams. As we continue to grow, this position offers the opportunity to shape processes, drive improvement, and contribute directly to the success of major renewable energy projects.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare month-end accounts and management reports for Australian operations, ensuring accuracy and transparency across financial records.
  • Oversee project cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support sound operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner closely with project managers and operational teams to provide financial insights, improve financial literacy, and drive accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Procurement, and Cost Management—to strengthen governance, efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Take a hands-on approach to day-to-day finance operations, supporting the wider AU/NZ finance function while helping to build scalable processes for a growing business.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, cost optimisation, and enhanced financial reporting.

What You'll Bring

  • Solid background in management accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, with the ability to oversee both day-to-day operations and strategic financial activities.
  • Proven ability to manage project costing, budgeting, and forecasting, partnering closely with project teams to drive financial performance and accountability.
  • A proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, comfortable working across all areas of finance in a dynamic and growing business.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate financial insights into clear, actionable advice for non-finance teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel, plus experience in construction, engineering, or renewable energy sectors, with sound knowledge of IFRS/AASB standards.
