We're on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper to join our friendly and expanding automotive business.

With four busy locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, this role is based at our Helensvale head office and plays a key role in keeping our accounts, payroll, and HR operations running smoothly.

You'll be the go-to person for all things accounts — from managing end-to-end payables and receivables to payroll, compliance, and general HR support. If you love variety, accuracy, and the satisfaction of keeping a business organised and on track, this could be your perfect fit.

What You'll Do

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable including invoice processing, reconciliations, and supplier/customer communication
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers across multiple entities
  • Prepare and lodge superannuation, PAYG and STP directly using Xero
  • Assist with BAS preparation, monthly reporting, and cash flow analysis and projections
  • Generate customer and management reports using Xero for financial insights
  • Support HR administration – onboarding, contracts, compliance, and WorkCover records
  • Maintain and improve systems, workflows, and documentation to keep things running efficiently
  • Provide administrative and personal assistant support to the business owners and management team

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Xero, superannuation and payroll requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with direct lodgement of super, PAYG and STP
  • Experience with cash flow analysis, projections and management reporting
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general office systems
  • Familiar with HR processes, Fair Work compliance or WorkCover admin
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or higher – highly regarded but not essential
  • Reliable, organised and genuinely enjoys supporting others
