Metroll Toowoomba has a job vacancy for a Dispatch Receivals Officer. The company produces and distributes metal building products and associated accessories to the commercial and residential building industries and suppliers. We have a large clientele base and pride ourselves on a high level of customer service and the quality of our products.

The role of Dispatch is to ensure quality customer service is provided to customers, both internally and externally, in a timely manner. Dispatch is to organise our delivery runs each day to comply with our schedule and our agreement with our end client as well as our fatigue management policy. They are also responsible for organising truck servicing and repairs as reported to them by our delivery drivers. Also day to day dispatch operations such as processing delivery advice, serving owner pickups and liaising with front counter staff in regard to delivery conditions. Dispatch is also responsible for organising the shed packer to have all sheds ready for dispatch on their given date and liaising with the customer as per our shed policies and procedures. This position will act as a pivotal point between sales staff and dispatch staff to ensure continual smooth branch operations.

Your responsibilities being a key team member will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure quality customer service is provided at all times, both internally and externally
  • Ensure accurate information is provided at all times
  • Ensure Sales Order Dockets are processed daily with accuracy
  • Ensure completed/delivered Sales Order Dockets are taken to Accounts Receivable daily
  • Ensure supplier confirmations are matched to purchase orders daily
  • Ensure "Milk Run" is collated and printed each Friday and Tuesday
  • Assist Factory Staff, Drivers and Yardsmen with any queries on a daily basis
  • Assist customers in Dispatch with any queries regarding their orders
  • Ensure completed delivery/OPU dockets are filed daily and stored monthly
  • Ensure all safety legislative requirements are adhered to
  • Ensure all WH&S systems, procedures and safe work practices are adhered to
  • Perform all reasonable and legal tasks as directed by Manager
  • Update Shedmin website
  • Review all information on disputed deliveries
  • Serve owner pick up clients

Essential Criteria

  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with other team members as well as our customers
  • Sound computer literacy
  • The ability to multitask effectively while still meeting timelines
  • A commitment to safe working environment
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to adapt as necessary as tasks are presented
  • Forklift Ticket (Desirable)
  • HC or MC Licence (Desirable)
  • 2 years logistics experience
