The Role – What You'll Be Doing

This role will see you working closely with seniors and managers across our Tax, Business Services, and SMSF divisions. You won't be stuck in a corner doing data entry — you'll gain true exposure and client contact from day one.

You'll:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, and individuals.
• Prepare BAS/IAS and support client tax planning and compliance.
• Work on SMSF accounts and annual returns using BGL software.
• Liaise directly with clients – answering questions, gathering data, and helping them understand their numbers.
• Collaborate with our team on business advisory projects and client improvement initiatives.
• Learn by doing – supported daily by our senior accountants and managers.

This is a genuine career-starter role offering practical exposure and mentorship across the full accounting spectrum.

About You – Who We're Looking For

You may be:

• A recent or soon-to-be accounting graduate with outstanding academic results, or
• A junior accountant (under 3 years' experience) in public practice ready to broaden your experience.

You'll succeed here if you:

• Have a strong accounting foundation or a genuine interest in tax, business services and SMSFs.
• Are either studying toward or planning to commence your CA/CPA (we provide full support).
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written and verbal – and enjoy speaking with clients.
• Thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment and take pride in producing accurate, thoughtful work.
• Show initiative, curiosity, and drive to keep learning and improving.
• Have solid tech skills – experience with Xero, MYOB, or BGL is ideal (or a willingness to learn fast).
