See yourself in our team:
The Organisational Development ("OD") Chapter Area enhances organisational effectiveness and culture through our people experiences, processes and systems.
We work across Commbank ("the Group") to deeply understand our peoples' lived experience and to create the change required to enable them to deliver our business strategy and purpose.
Do work that matters:
As an OD Lead in our OD Chapter Area, you'll lead the design and development, implementation, and enhancement of people experiences, processes and systems.
Working in our Strategic Workforce team, you'll be accountable for shaping and embedding the organisation's approach to work and role redesign, ensuring the workforce remains adaptable and capable in a rapidly changing environment.
This role will design and implement enterprise methodologies, frameworks, and practices that reimagine how work is structured, performed, and experienced — optimising value creation, workforce agility, and future skill readiness.
Initially hands-on in the delivery of redesign initiatives, the role will evolve to focus on building capability and maturity across HR and business leaders, embedding sustainable redesign practices across the enterprise and supporting with broader workforce transformation initiatives.
On any given day you will…
- Design and implement a practical, enterprise-wide methodology for work and role redesign.
- Integrate redesign principles into workforce planning, career architecture and skills frameworks.
- Lead targeted redesign projects that align to strategic workforce priorities.
- Translate analysis and insights into clear, actionable role and work design solutions.
- Uplift HR and leader capability through coaching, tools, and learning programs.
- Establish a community of practice to embed and sustain redesign capability.
- Collaborate across HR, workforce planning, and business to ensure cohesive outcomes.
- Provide expert advice that shapes strategic workforce and people decisions.
- Define and track success measures to demonstrate impact and maturity.
- Continuously refine methodologies based on data, feedback, and emerging trends.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Extensive experience in organisational design, work and role redesign
- Strong background in change enablement and / or workforce transformation
- Demonstrated ability to lead both strategic framework development and hands-on delivery of redesign initiatives.
- Advanced facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and influence skills.
- Experience in human-centred design or participatory approaches to work redesign.
- Exceptional conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
- High degree of self-direction, adaptability, and resilience in complex, dynamic environments.
