We're looking for an experienced and motivated
Research Assistant or Cell Culture Scientist
to join our growing biotechnology team in Sydney on a
casual or part-time contract
basis.

This is a
hands-on laboratory role
focused on mammalian cell culture and basic molecular or analytical techniques. You'll be working across facilities in the Sydney CBD area, supporting R&D activities in a collaborative but independent setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Culture and maintain mammalian cells (including stem cells) under aseptic conditions
  • Perform cell passaging, freezing/thawing, and media preparation
  • Operate standard lab equipment (biosafety cabinet, centrifuges, RT-PCR systems)
  • Manage your own workflow, record results, and report to project leads
  • Support ongoing research and sample analysis activities

What We're Looking For:

  • MSc or PhD
    in Biomedical Science, Cell Biology, or Biotechnology (exceptional BSc considered)
  • Demonstrated experience in
    cell culture and aseptic technique
  • Familiarity with molecular assays and analytical methods preferred
  • Ability to work independently
    and manage small-scale research projects
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
