Research Coordinator Assistant- Part time Min 16 hours per week

We are an large Ophthalmology group with a number of clinic locations throughout NSW and ACT, providing the highest quality eye care, modern facilities and the latest technology.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Research Coordinator Assistant to join our growing team in our Sydney CBD clinic.

The suitable candidate will Support ophthalmic clinical trials at PersonalEYES by coordinating participants, managing data and documentation, and ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and ICH‑GCP—without performing any clinical procedures.

What we are looking for:


• Tertiary qualification in health/life sciences, psychology, or research administration (orthoptics/optometry background welcome but not required).


• Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate; understanding of ICH‑GCP, NHMRC National Statement, and TGA CTN/CTX environment.


• Proficiency with EDC (e.g., REDCap) and document control; strong attention to detail and data integrity (ALCOA+).


• Excellent communication with participants and internal teams; professional, courteous, and privacy‑aware.


• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple protocols, timelines, and monitors/sponsors.

Desirable:


• Experience in device or surgical trials admin (e.g., IOLs, MIGS, laser platforms) from a coordination perspective.


• Familiarity with risk‑based monitoring and audit readiness.


• IATA awareness for biological sample logistics (admin/coordination only).
