About Redhill Civil

Redhill Civil is expanding and seeking a Junior Accountant experienced in Accounts Payable (AP) to assist our finance and project teams in NSW.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Accountant at Redhill Civil, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support our finance and project teams in NSW.

Accounts Payable (AP) Processing

You will manage the full AP process, which includes coding invoices, resolving any discrepancies, and preparing weekly payment runs to ensure our suppliers and contractors are paid accurately and on time.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Processing

Your duties will extend to overseeing the end-to-end AR process. This involves working closely with engineers to ensure all necessary information is provided promptly, and all claims are submitted by the required deadlines.

Supplier & Contractor Management

You will be responsible for onboarding suppliers, which includes verifying ABN/GST registration, collecting bank details and insurance documents, and maintaining up-to-date and accurate creditor master data. You will also manage supplier statements and address any queries that may arise.

Reconciliations

Your role will include reconciling creditor statements, corporate cards, and performing bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.

Month-End Activities

You will participate in month-end processes such as preparing journals, managing prepayments and accruals, and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.

Project Support

Collaborating with site and project teams, you will confirm that invoices for plant hire, materials, and subcontractors are correctly coded and approved in a timely manner to support project delivery.

Payroll and Administration Support

As needed, you will assist with payroll and other administrative duties, such as checking timesheets and verifying data for accuracy.

Requirements

1–2+ years of experience in accounts payable or junior accounting; experience in construction is an asset but not required.

Proficiency with Xero; strong Excel skills and familiarity with document and purchase order workflows.

Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures when working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

A relevant Accounting or Finance qualification, either completed or currently being pursued.
