The opportunity

We're hiring a Lending Officer to own deals end-to-end — from scenario analysis and credit write-ups through to settlement, variations and repayments — and to help foster and grow our broker network.

What you'll do

  • Assess scenarios: Triage broker enquiries, test LVRs, pricing, security quality and exit strategy; identify red flags early.
  • Prepare credit papers: Produce clear, decision-ready submissions covering risks, mitigants, conditions and recommendations for Credit Committee.
  • Manage the loan lifecycle: Coordinate mandates, due diligence, settlement, drawdowns, extensions/variations, discharges and repayments.
  • Liaise with stakeholders: Be the day-to-day contact for solicitors,brokers, borrowers and valuers; keep everyone aligned on deliverables and timing.
  • Valuations & legal: Instruct panel valuers, review comps/methodology/as-is values; brief solicitors, review docs (mortgage, GSA, guarantees), manage PPSR/titles.
  • Portfolio hygiene: Monitor arrears, covenants/undertakings, maturities and extensions; escalate and assist with recoveries as needed.
  • Compliance & records: Ensure KYC/AML and file integrity; maintain accurate data in the loan management system; produce pipeline/portfolio reports.

  • Grow the broker channel:

  • Onboard and nurture new and existing brokers; deliver product/pricing updates and scenario support.

  • Run outreach , attend industry events, and coordinate co-branded collateral with Marketing.
  • Capture activity and pipeline in CRM; track submissions, conversion, turnaround times and feedback to inform pricing/product tweaks.

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years in private lending, commercial mortgages or bank/non-bank credit.
  • Strong property-backed lending knowledge, valuation fundamentals, and exit-driven credit analysis.
  • Practical understanding of Australian lending operations: mortgage registration, PPSR, GSAs, guarantees, settlements.
  • Excellent writing — you turn complex deals into crisp, decision-ready credit papers.
  • Confident relationship builder with brokers; comfortable presenting, negotiating and responding under time pressure..
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics or law (desirable).
  • Full Australian work rights.
