About Us
Disability Support Project (DSP) is a trusted and growing provider in the NDIS sector. We empower participants to achieve their goals through high-quality, person-centred services. Our values-driven culture is built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement – supporting our staff as much as we support our participants.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Support Coordination Team Manager to lead our Newcastle-based team.
This senior leadership role has full oversight of Support Coordinators and Senior Support Coordinators, ensuring the entire team consistently performs to KPIs, delivers quality outcomes, and maintains compliance with NDIS standards.
While you may carry a small, reduced caseload, your primary focus will be on managing people, performance, and outcomes – building a high-performing, accountable, and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight: Provide supervision, direction, and support to both Support Coordinators and Senior Support Coordinators.
- Team Management: Monitor performance, manage KPIs, and ensure compliance with DSP policies and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Workforce Development: Mentor, coach, and grow the skills of your team through structured supervision and professional development.
- Operational Accountability: Conduct case reviews, audits, and ensure service quality across the team.
- Performance & Reporting: Track outcomes, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and team performance.
- Escalation Point: Act as the senior decision-maker for complex and high-risk participant cases.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, service providers, and sector partners.
- Strategic Contribution: Partner with senior management to influence service growth, planning, and innovation.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in the NDIS sector, with a strong understanding of frameworks, funding, and service delivery.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience managing a team, including staff supervision, KPI achievement, and performance management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire both Support Coordinators and Senior Support Coordinators.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Relevant tertiary or sector-related qualifications (e.g. Social Work, Disability, Community Services, Mental Health).
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Why Join Us?
- A genuine management role with responsibility for both Support Coordinators and Senior Support Coordinators.
- Attractive salary package $100,000 – $115,000.
- Career progression and leadership development opportunities.
- Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
- Join a supportive, values-driven organisation making a lasting impact.
