Auburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school located in Auburn, Sydney, New South Wales. It caters to students from Years 7-12 and offers a range of educational programs, including academically selective and enrichment classes, and a support unit for students with special needs. The school has an enrolment of 857 students, 98% of whom have a language background other than English. Selection CriteriaApproval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) and Stage 6 Information Processes and Technology (IPT), and willing to teach Stage 5 Information and Software Technology (IST)
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching programs that integrate literacy and numeracy to meet the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of a wide range of students that include HPGE and EAL/D students.
Proven ability in classroom management and the capacity to manage practical workspaces to ensure student safety, participation and engagement in lessons, that enhance student learning opportunities
Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and empathetically with students, teachers, support staff, parents and stakeholders.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
