The Role

We're seeking a commercially savvy Product Manager to join our Payments & Registrations team - the engine that has collected almost $1 billion in payments for our partners. This isn't just about building payment flows; it is about automating payment collection and growing sport registrations to enable volunteers to focus on what matters most - getting more people playing.

Your mission:
Make sporting communities thrive by removing financial friction and creating seamless experiences that get more people playing.

You'll own the full payment ecosystem - from getting administrators to adopt payment features and shop functionality, to driving growth and purchases through our mobile app where participants engage with their sporting communities.

What You'll Be Doing

Product Discovery & Research

  • Conduct regular user research through surveys, interviews, and feedback sessions with both sports administrators and participants to understand payment pain points and opportunities
  • Run discovery sessions with clubs and sporting organisations to identify unmet needs in their financial workflows and registration processes
  • Analyse user behaviour data and payment flow metrics to uncover insights that drive product decisions and prioritisation

Admin Adoption & Payment Strategy

  • Drive adoption of payment features and shop functionality among sports administrators, turning them from manual payment chasers into automated revenue collectors
  • Build compelling onboarding experiences that demonstrate immediate value and get admins set up with payment automation quickly
  • Design admin-facing tools that make payment management feel effortless - from setting up collections to tracking revenue across all their sporting activities
  • Optimise the admin journey from first payment setup through to comprehensive payment coverage across their entire organisation

Mobile Growth & Participant Engagement

  • Drive mobile payment and commerce features that increase participant purchases and engagement through seamless experiences
  • Build features that encourage participants to spend more within their sporting communities - from merchandise and events to competition entries
  • Create mobile-first payment experiences that feel native and intuitive, removing friction from every purchase decision
  • Design growth mechanics that increase participant lifetime value through smart recommendations, social proof, and community-driven purchasing

Conversion Optimisation & Experimentation

  • Run experiments to optimise key conversion points throughout the registration journey
  • Analyse user behaviour data to identify drop-off points and systematically remove barriers to conversion

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience
    with proven ability to drive adoption across different user types (B2B admins and B2C participants) in SaaS, marketplace, or platform environments within a startup or scaleup.
  • Payments/Ecommerce Expertise
    : Hands-on experience building payment flows, mobile commerce, and shop functionality across web and mobile platforms
  • Product Led Growth & Conversion Focus
    : Track record of driving measurable improvements in feature adoption, mobile app engagement, and revenue per user through product initiatives

Highly Valued

  • Experience with multi-currency payment processing and international compliance requirements
  • Background in marketplace, platform, or two-sided network business models
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations and payment systems
  • Previous exposure to subscription, usage-based, or transaction-based revenue models
  • Track record of working in high-growth startups or scale-up environments
