About The Role
The Office of the Commissioner for Victims of Crime (OCVoC) promotes and safeguards the interests of victims of crime in the Western Australia justice system and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Departments response to victims of crime including policy and legislative reform, providing advice to government, and building collaborative work arrangements within the Justice portfolio, public sector and broader community.
The OCVoC assists with victim information and engagement, projects and investigations of strategic significance, business improvement initiatives and provides support and advice to the Director General and Attorney General on highly sensitive and confidential victims of crime issues.
P022798 Director Victims Services
The Director Victim Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and independent and objective advice regarding the Department's Victim Services to the Commissioner for Victims of Crime. The position leads and oversees the activities of the Victim Engagement Team, the Victim Representatives of the Prisoners Review Board, and the Victim Services Team. The position will be responsible for operational policy and procedure and contribute to relevant legislative reform.
P022668 Director Strategic Projects
The Director Strategic Projects leads and manages a portfolio of strategic complex policies and projects including undertaking a lead role in planning, initiating, developing and evaluating policies, projects and legislation. The position is also responsible for the National Redress Scheme.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
