About The Opportunity

Interested in having a positive impact on the education and training of clinical staff across one of the largest health districts in NSW? This role provides management and leadership to one of the largest multidisciplinary clinical education teams in NSW.

What You'll Be Doing

The Manager Multidisciplinary Clinical Development is a management position in the Education and Organisational Development Service (EODS), within People & Culture. This position will lead and facilitate the development of multidisciplinary clinical education to enable the provision of evidence based quality clinical practice throughout the District. The role coordinates and manages complex nursing, midwifery and allied health education functions including management of clinical programs, new entrants to the workforce, clinical skills and VET sector training.

The role will liaise with all disciplines to ensure multidisciplinary education outcomes. SWSLHD is recognised as a leading provider of education, training and organisational development initiatives to a health workforce of over 17,000 staff. EODS supports the achievement of the District's strategic goals, with a focus on supporting our staff to positively transform how our patients, consumers, staff and communities experience our organisation and services. The Service consists of staff with expertise in clinical and non-clinical education and organisational development focussed on the delivery of the EODS Operational Plan.

The departments programs and services focus on enabling a positive workplace culture, developing high performing teams and ensuring our work environment attracts and retains talent. The key portfolios within the department include Multidisciplinary Clinical Education & Development Unit, Corporate & Support Services Education & Development Unit, Learning Hub, Organisational Development, Culture & Diversity Unit and Future Workforce Support Unit.

  • Holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and holds a post graduate qualification relevant to the education portfolio. Has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor (or TAE40110 plus the TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 units) and/or tertiary level post graduate qualification in adult education.
  • Demonstrated senior nursing, midwifery or allied health management experience including in leading staff and managing services.
  • Advanced understanding of higher education and vocational Education and Training (VET) sector programs relating to nursing, midwifery or allied health practice

  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
