$75,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation

Are you a passionate and experienced Head chef ready to lead a dynamic team on The stunning Great Ocean Road? 12 Rocks Beach Cafe, a thriving restaurant in the heart of Port Campbell.

About the Role:

As Head Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high food quality, safety, and team performance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Menu planning & design
  • Managing ordering and inventory control to minimise waste and ensure stock availability
  • Overseeing cost control and food margins, contributing to overall profitability
  • Creating and managing kitchen staff rosters to ensure efficient coverage and labour cost control
  • Ensuring staff compliance with HACCAP regulations and safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a head chef, with strong leadership and team communication skills

Relevant qualifications no less than a Diploma level, plus 3 years full time relevant employment experience

Sound knowledge of ordering, inventory systems, and food cost control

Experience in rostering and workforce planning

Someone who can work closely with our Front of house manager to help shape workplace culture & a positive work environment.

Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
