About the Role
We are seeking an Expression of Interest from a suitably qualified, innovative and experienced Chinese Language teacher for a potential part-time Chinese Language Teaching position, commencing in 2026.

About You
You are a dedicated and passionate language educator who thrives on bringing culture and communication to life in the classroom. You will have:
- Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua)
- Experience teaching Chinese in a Primary School or equivalent setting
- A talent for creating engaging, authentic learning experiences that promote linguistic confidence and intercultural understanding
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to inspire and lead colleagues
- PYP experience or a strong understanding of Inquiry-based pedagogy
- A relevant tertiary qualification and teaching credentials
- ACT Teacher's Registration (TQI) or eligibility to obtain one
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A commitment to the broader life of an independent school
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- Excellent technological literacy across a range of applications
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
