Mitsubishi Electric Australia is an internationally recognised leader in the design and manufacture of high quality, leading edge, technology-based products and services including consumer electronics, air conditioners, refrigerators, industrial automation equipment and railway equipment.
We are currently seeking the services of an experienced Senior Electronics Technician support our growing Railway business at Rydalmere.
The Role
As a Senior Electronics Technician employed by a global organisation, the role will encompass troubleshooting, service and repair of rail industry communication and control equipment within a team environment.
The role will span:
• Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• Performing soldering (both SMT and through-hole) and hands-on circuit repairs
• Building and maintaining custom test rigs, and ensuring test equipment is regularly calibrated
• Assisting engineers in research and development activities—prototyping, testing, and assembling electronics for new products
• Investigating returned products and supporting root cause analysis on customer issues
You'll work closely with a collaborative team of Technicians, Engineers, and Production Specialists, with the chance to expand your skills across technical domains and enjoy employee benefits such as monthly RDO's and discounted products.
What We're Looking For:
• Good communication skills and team leadership ability, with a minimum 5 years of experience in the electronics or related industry
• Strong understanding of electronics diagnostics, circuit testing, and fault finding
• Competent with soldering, wiring, reading schematics, and building electronic assemblies
• Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using technical documentation and managing equipment records
Required Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics and Control
