What you'd be doing in the role

  • Working directly with the team to support clients as part of the Company's strategic communications business
  • Providing strategic advice to clients on sensitive and high-profile projects, reputation and issues management assignments
  • Developing and articulating complex corporate communications, reputation and stakeholder management strategies
  • Formulating and implementing key messages, narratives, and strategic communications frameworks for use by clients across all external and internal communications
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of digital content for a range of platforms, including social media and websites
  • Developing communications collateral for clients across a range of businesses, industries and sectors
  • Liaising with media and key stakeholders and building relationships on behalf of clients
  • Preparing and delivering bespoke media and presentation training
  • Managing the company's media monitoring service, and
  • Day-to-day account management across a broad range of existing and new clients.

What we're looking for in you

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans
  • A strong news sense and understanding of the communications and media industry in WA
  • Wide-ranging experience pitching to mainstream and industry media, managing media enquiries and looking for opportunities to promote client's issues and projects
  • A proven track record dealing with complex and confidential subject matters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including in copywriting, document production, and giving presentations
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and engagement skills, and
  • A Degree level qualification and/or significant experience in communications, public relations, journalism or related area

This position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, and we welcome job share proposals.
