**The Role**
As an Assistant Director at the Department of Education, you will lead public-facing campaigns and communication projects that inform, educate and engage a range of audiences spanning early childhood, schools and tertiary and higher education.
In an environment of significant transformation and reform for the entire education sector, spanning early childhood, youth, schools, and tertiary education, we’re looking for experienced communication professionals to fill a merit pool for potential positions over the next 12-18 months.
Our Strategic Communication teams provide exciting opportunities for communication experts to showcase their skills.
Together, we’re focused on delivering integrated and influential communication services to support the department create a better future for all Australians through education. It’s a fast-paced and friendly environment, with teams of experienced specialists accomplished in a range of communication disciplines working together on shared outcomes.
We also provide Strategic Communication Services for the Office for Youth.
We lead internal campaigns and projects that drive a positive employee experience and enable effective executive communication, and plan, develop and implement proactive and reactive media strategies.
Our Strategic Communication professionals lead the delivery of integrated, high quality and creative communication projects and products. They deliver comprehensive strategic communication services to support our Secretary, the executive, and program areas by:
- Delivering high performing strategic communication projects
- Deploying creative and engaging contemporary communication channels and methods
- Exercising sound professional judgement
- Collaborating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
