The Role

Ready to launch your career in construction estimating? This is your chance to join a fast-growing commercial builder and learn directly from seasoned industry professionals.

As our Junior Estimator, you'll get hands-on with live projects — from reviewing drawings and doing quantity take-offs to following up supplier quotes and helping provide information for our competitive proposals. You won't just be stuck behind a desk, you'll be part of a collaborative team working on a variety of commercial and industrial builds across South-East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposal submissions
  • Complete quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings, etc
  • Source and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
  • Maintain cost databases and contact lists
  • Support the estimating team with admin and research tasks
  • Learn and apply construction methods, materials, and industry standards

Qualities we are looking for:

  • Sharp attention to detail and a love for numbers
  • Eagerness to learn from experienced estimators and grow your career
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings (or a willingness to learn fast)
  • Confident with MS Excel and comfortable picking up new software (such as Cubit, Bluebeam, etc)
  • Great communication skills for dealing with team members, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Relevant studies in construction, quantity surveying, or similar (preferred but not essential)
