Commercial Credit Analyst

A bit about the role

We are seeking a high performing Commercial Credit Analyst to take a key role in supporting our commercial business strategy.

You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loan applications from application through to decision and will be focused on providing quality service to our introducers while working within BNK's Credit Policy

What you will bring

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial credit analysis
• Delegated Lending Authority of $1m
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, can-do and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking (highly regarded by not essential).

Key Responsibilities

• Increasing BNK's Commercial Lending balance sheet portfolio through managing and underwriting conforming Commercial Lending applications.
• Assessment of commercial loan application submitted via brokers and strategic partners.
• Ensuring all applications meet our risk assessment standards.
• Exercising Commercial delegated lending authority and referring to higher delegation as required.
• Developing strong relationships and providing feedback to the sales team to ensure that application quality is maintained, and issues efficiently communicated, ensuring a timely transition through to settlement.
• Proactively engage with senior key stakeholders to raise awareness of credit risk weaknesses and assist with developing remediation action.
• Ensuring service standards and turnaround times (SLA's') are consistently met/exceeded in terms of agreed times with our partners.
• Continuously work to improve our credit systems and reporting.
