As Our Principal Project Officer, You Will
- Provide strategic advice to Managers, Directors, Executive and other stakeholders as needed about contractual, legal, land use, regulatory and other arrangements that apply to the State's interests in forestry resources.
- Prepare departmental policy papers, legal requests, procurement documents, submissions, reports and briefing notes, and review and interpret contracts, deeds of variation, legal advice and other relevant documents.
- Analyse programs, policies, development proposals, legislative amendments, tenure changes and planning schemes to determine potential impacts on the States interests in forestry resources.
- Undertake liaison, influence and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders to develop collaborative and productive working relationships.
- Prepare accurate and timely input into financial and performance reporting requirements and implement contemporary approaches to governance, systems and procedures.
- Supervise team members as required, promote high performance, and deliver assignments within agreed specifications, including ensuring compliance with policy/s on performance development agreements and the associated framework.
