The Opportunity

Join Wales Bus at our dynamic smash repair facility in Smithfield We're looking for an experienced Body Builder to bring their expertise to the team. In this hands-on role, you'll use your skills to shape and restore heavy vehicle exteriors—playing a key part in delivering high-quality results and driving the future of automotive excellence.

Role responsibilities
  • Assess the vehicle's damage to determine how to perform the restoration work
  • Ensure the chassis crush is properly maintained & used appropriately
  • Treat company equipment with the same respect for your own tools
  • Advise the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  •  Co-ordinate with other workers in the workshop to ensure the workflow is appropriately placed
  • Notify of any product shortages which would restrict production
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met

  • Trade qualified (Essential)
  • Body repair experience (Essential)
  • Ability to be a team player, with the skills to also work autonomously
  • Communication and decision making skills
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools
  • An overall aptitude for technical activities
