Custom Quip Engineering Pty Ltd (CQE) is a well-established Western Australian Vehicle Body Building business with over two decades of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of quality transport equipment.

CQE is seeking a motivated and dynamic Vehicle Body Builder to join the CQE team, at our Bibra Lake facility. The successful applicant requires experience in fabrication & welding, and repair/maintenance of transport equipment.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and welding of new road transport equipment.
  • Fabrication and welding of existing transport equipment (on-road and off-road) required to be repaired, modified or refurbished.
  • Repairs and refurbishment projects.

Skills and experience required:

  • Trade Qualification in Vehicle body Building or extensive experience with the manufacture of road transport equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand a fabrication drawings, also interpret direction with regards to repair and refurbishment applications.
  • Experience with the manufacture of transport equipment and and understanding of transport equipment - structures and mechanical functions.
  • Forklift licence required.
  • Motivated & team orientated attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, where required.
  • Out of the box thinker with the ability to diagnose faults/errors and provide or seek solutions.
  • Contribute to a healthy, safe and "can do" work environment.
