Custom Quip Engineering Pty Ltd (CQE) is a well-established Western Australian Vehicle Body Building business with over two decades of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of quality transport equipment.

CQE seek a motivated team player to join the team as Fibreglass Tradesperson (Body Builder), at our Henderson facility.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manufacture fibreglass panels and components for premium fridge van bodies.
• Prepare moulds and surfaces for fibreglass application.
• Measure, cut, and lay fibreglass materials accurately.
• Apply resin, gel coats, and other finishes to ensure a smooth and durable surface.
• Inspect and ensure product quality meets stringent standards.
• Maintain and operate fibreglass production tools and equipment safely.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and targets, involving various other vehicle bodybuilder/assembly duties involved in the manufacturing process.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years working with fibreglass manufacturing (including laminating panels).
• Proficient in handling fibreglass materials, resins, gel coats, and mould preparation.
• Strong ability to deliver precise and high-quality finishes.
• Experience using fibreglass application tools, including spray guns, rollers, and cutting tools.
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks in a workshop environment.
• Work effectively with a team.
• Motivated & team orientated attitude.
• Contribute to a healthy, safe and "can do" work environment. Possessing familiarity with workplace safety standards and safe handling of fibreglass materials.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, where required.
• Out of the box thinker with the ability to diagnose faults/errors and provide or seek solutions.
