IMMEDIATE START

We're looking for a hands-on Sales/Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our flooring store. This is a customer-facing role where you'll combine sales expertise with operational oversight — managing projects from the first showroom visit through to installation — while ensuring every customer walks away delighted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales (measuring and quoting), customer service, stock ordering, and booking installations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Maintain a clean, well-presented showroom that promotes a positive customer experience.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, using sound judgement and conflict-resolution skills to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Make quick, informed decisions to keep jobs on track and services delivered on time.

About You

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of exercising strong judgement in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in the flooring industry.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Flooring product knowledge (carpet, vinyl, laminate, timber, hybrid) to support customer queries.
  • Ability to measure in-home, interpret and draw plans.
  • Understanding of flooring installation processes.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including every second Saturday.
