About the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our pub

In this full-time 'hands on' role you will be rostered on a 4-week rotation across our venue to support our Venue Manager and other Duty Managers in daily operations and will:

  • Follow standard procedures (around Bar, Gaming, TAB and Restaurant/Functions operations including open/close and supervising staff and their breaks) as well as hands on F&B service
  • Enjoy meeting and greeting and building great relationships with guests to create the "fun experiences".
  • Interact with guests to seek feedback to understand our successes as well as personally handling any guest complaints in a positive manner
  • Coach and guide team members to deliver amazing service and quality standards and work closely with the Restaurant Manager and kitchen team to ensure a seamless operation throughout pass, bar and food service.
  • Manage key elements including training and upskilling of staff as required
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and create revenue generating opportunities and ensure staffing levels and wage costs are managed

About You

  • 2 years or more previous Food and Beverage Shift Supervisory experience
  • A friendly and enthusiastic nature, you will enjoy working hands on interacting with guests and working closely with our team
  • Ability to coach and lead staff in daily operations across our venue
  • Excellent communication skills to consult with and provide support to the Restaurant Manager and team
  • Have a positive and proactive 'can do' attitude and ability to make a difference
  • Great presentation, time management and attention to detail.
  • Current RSA/RSG Certificate essential, RMLV also preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day week operation
