About You

We are looking for a Test Lead / Test Manager star in the software community, someone who is passionate about elevating the QA profession and ideally brings experience from a professional services/consulting background.

Please note:
This is a permanent position with Assurity Australia. We may consider contractors on a case-by-case basis.

As a Test Lead / Test Manager, you'll implement testing projects according to the client's project plan, supervise Assurity consultants and act as a mentor to staff. You'll contribute to the achievement of Assurity's strategic objectives and operational goals by delivering quality testing services to clients.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define Test Strategy and Test Management processes
  • Establish test methodologies, test management tools and infrastructure and develop test management frameworks
  • Evaluate, maintain and improve Testing roles and responsibilities within product development lifecycle
  • Develop, implement and comply with of best practices testing standards
  • Responsible for all Test, Test Tools Development and configuration management activities for the client
  • Develop and executing test scripts as required
  • Co-ordinate testing tasks for the client
  • Maintain a close relationship with clients
  • Manage client's expectations when delivering services
  • Take a constructive and engaging approach when dealing with conflictive situations
  • An ambassador for Assurity and able to talk to (potential) clients about their projects and where Assurity could provide solutions and/or growth.
  • Actively look for innovation areas that supports the clients and Assurity's business strategies

The experience, skills and attributes we are looking for include but are not limited to:

  • 10+ years experience in formal software testing and test planning
  • Project management and design of test strategies experience
  • Experience in varied projects including systems integration, business processes, software development, and infrastructure
  • Staff management experience
  • Ability to learn and understand difficult concepts quickly
  • Knowledge of formal software testing
  • Understanding of test planning and executing test in business software applications
  • Ability to relate well to the non-technical people and clearly explain technical concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of different phases and types of testing
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Be able to understand client challenges and develop business from those.

Qualifications & desirables:

  • ISTQB certifications is desirable
  • Relevant Degree or Tertiary qualification (IT, Technology, Testing) or equivalent experience would be desirable
  • Government sector projects experience is desirable
