About the Role:

Scott Park Group is looking for an experienced, detail driven Accountant to join their finance team. The role will focus on ensuring the financial stability, by providing financial support to their integrated division, SP Ceilings as it continues to grow.

About Us:

SP Ceilings specialises in the supply and installation of Ceiling and Wall Linings to the Scott Park Group's award-winning builders, Redink Homes, 101 Residential and B1 Homes, along with a small range of external custom builders.

Main Duties:

· Support the development of budgeting frameworks, expenditure control measures, and financial guidelines

· Assisting in financial planning to enhance operational efficiency whilst supporting growth.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including accruals, prepayments, and manual journals.

· Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.

· Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth audits.

· Conduct financial analysis to support business growth decisions, including cost, profitability, and risk assessments.

· Identify areas for process improvement and help drive the implementation of initiatives.

· Work closely with the SPG finance team and SP Ceilings GM, providing mentorship and ensuring smooth collaboration across business functions.

· Assist with financial maintenance as required and provide data analysis to support management requests and regulatory information.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to influence, build and maintain networks with a range of stakeholders.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Thrives in a friendly, flexible, and supportive team environment.

Knowledge with a basic understanding of residential building and construction process in the Western Australian marketplace (desirable but not essential)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience in Xero, Simpro, Bluebeam and D365 (Finance & Operations) would be a significant advantage
