Our Sydney office is looking for a Design Technology Specialist (Drafter) with 2-5 years experience. The successful candidate will primarily be focusing on 2D drafting, and contributing to 3D modelling tasks when required. Our Digital Engineering team will provide ongoing guidance and support to help you further develop your expertise and adopt industry-leading practices. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic office experiencing rapid growth in a healthy market focused on infrastructure development, specifically in the underground sector for the foreseeable future.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate 2D drawings and documentation in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Use of XREFs, blocks, and layers effectively in AutoCAD.
- Adapt to project requirements and support design delivery as needed.
- Stay up to date with software updates, plugins, and industry-leading drafting workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Digital Engineering team members across disciplines.
- Assist with 3D Revit modelling when required.
- Assist with create, modify, and manage Revit families and templates to support project needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of drafting experience in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of Revit.
- Strong willingness to learn, upskill, and adapt to industry and company processes, including new software as required.
- Solid understanding of documentation standards and detailing.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and strict adherence to QA/QC procedures to ensure a high standard of deliverable.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D, or Rhino is advantageous but not a requirement.
