About the Role

Orise Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic individual, keen to take the next step in developing their career in a multi-national organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Being a member of the Orise Finance Team and a key support to Finance Controller of Orise Australia in operational financial and accounting management, driving project financial and operating performance and improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit.
  • Proactively support Finance Controller in day to day operational financial and accounting activities including the management of accounts payables, account receivables and procurement relating to business project management and reporting, processing of purchase orders and invoices and generating payments, monthly bank and ledger reconciliations, etc.
  • Maintain and ensure that financial records are in compliance with the Group Accounting Principles, General Financial Accounting Standards, IFRS and the local statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Support Finance Controller in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial reports in accordance to GAAP / IFRS, group consolidation reporting package.
  • Recommend actions to improve progress of the project.
  • Support Finance Controller in project reviews meeting with project manager and operational team, identify risks, define and aligned mitigated strategies to ensure projects evolve according to expectations.
  • Ensure that claims are submitted to customers to align with costs and cash flow, perform reconciliation of customer remittances to the claims and following up discrepancies.
  • Enhance the project controlling processes, tools and documentation of the projects for on-going efficiency and effectiveness improvement.
  • Support budgeting process of the business entity.
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments upon request.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university degree in accounting or a related filed.
  • 4+ years of finance and accounting experience in Australia, preferably with purchasing and project controlling experience.

Required Skills

  • Customer-focused mindset and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP experience would be an advantage.
  • High data affinity and attention to detail.
  • Driving results in a continuous improvement and data-driven culture.
  • Ability to take initiatives and to complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Good analytical thinking, and problem-solving skill.
  • Ability to develop financial controls and reporting capability.
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and multi-task priorities in a fast-paced project-oriented business.
  • Open to new challenges and eager to learn new methods and tools and to share knowledge.
