At Goldfields Family Dental in Kalgoorlie a unique opportunity exists within our practice for you. Work 6mths of the year and relax for the other 6 mths.

Goldfields Family Dental pay above award wages, supply ongoing training, this position will require a dedicated, hard working team player to take care of our loyal patients.

About the role

This role is advertised as a dual role of experienced Front Office Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator and dental assistant. Applications for only front office coordinators with experience will be accepted with the plan to incorporate treatment coordinator into the role. Your role would include but no limited to provide patient education and participate more actively with the planning, treatment presentation, and follow-up for patient care. You take a pro-active role in each day's schedule and patient activities to ensure a smooth flow occurs. Your goals are to educate, stimulate, motivate, and promote patient participation in dental care; which should result in increased case acceptance. We are a very busy clinic that needs a special someone who can handle high pressure and fast pace with a smile.

As part of our front office team you will be the first point of contact for our patients – Greeting patients, checking them in and offering our services while they await treatment, objection handling and avoidance of cancellations.

Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts

Patient care from entry to the surgery, recall management

General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HICAPS

Maintain stock control when requested

Reporting as necessary on practice activities

As a dental assistant, preparing patients for dental procedures and assisting for all procedures. Helping maintain a sterile environment using ADA guidelines for infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials and cleaning dental surgery room.  Taking OPGs/lat cephs and giving children toothbrushing instructions in our dedicated toothbrushing room.

Our team work incredibly hard so we are looking for a dental assistant who is a team player as well as someone who is proactive.

Skills and experience
