One of Brisbane's leading IT organisations is seeking a
Systems Engineer
to manage and support IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms. You will work directly in a business environment, providing hands-on systems administration, troubleshooting, and project delivery to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology operations.


• $95K – $105K base + superannuation


• Brisbane-based, full-time role with hybrid flexibility


• Manage internal IT systems across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Azure


• Administer virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and core networking


• Support security and compliance standards across infrastructure


• Assist with infrastructure upgrades and cloud migration projects


• Work closely with business stakeholders to align IT with operational needs

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Systems Engineer, you will manage IT systems and platforms, ensuring uptime, security, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include systems administration, troubleshooting escalated issues, managing Active Directory, and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. You will also contribute to infrastructure projects, including server upgrades, cloud migrations, and security initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver reliable technology outcomes.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..


• 3–5 years' experience as a Systems Engineer or Systems Administrator


• Strong hands-on skills in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server administration


• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)


• Networking knowledge across firewalls, switching, routing, and VPNs


• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills


• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities


• Full working rights in Australia

IT'S NICE TO HAVE…..


• Microsoft or Azure certifications (Administrator/Engineer level)


• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity tools


• Exposure to cloud migration projects or hybrid infrastructure environments


• Knowledge of ITIL processes or governance frameworks
