Role: Accountant

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

Location: Melonba NSW

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for business operations.
  • Conduct reconciliations, variance analysis, and prepare financial models to support decision-making.
  • Prepare and lodge income tax returns, BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance obligations.
  • Ensure adherence to Australian Accounting Standards and taxation regulations.
  • Provide financial advice to management on cost control, cash flow management, and profitability.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Support the business with accounting insights to improve financial efficiency and growth strategies.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant professional accounting experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, compliance, and reporting obligations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
