Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Machine Assembler will be responsible for assisting the Plant Mechanics in new machine builds for multiple clients within the industry. The Machine Assembler will ensure that all assembly tasks are completed efficiently and adhere to the highest quality standards.

The New Machines Department at WesTrac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mining industry. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment to enhance operational productivity and safety.

Roster: 5/2 Mon-Fri

What You'll Do:

  • Support Plant Mechanics in the assembly of the latest Caterpillar mining equipment.
  • Working well within a teammates to manage and complete high volume tasks efficiently.
  • Promote, encourage and monitor safety to a high standard whilst undertaking all tasks.

To be successful the following is required:

  • Solid mechanical aptitude or mechanical experience
  • Exposure working in a similar service environment or mining
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Motivated problem-solving skills
