We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Production Supervisor to join the Yumbah Kangaroo Island team. This role plays a key part in leading and supporting site operations ensuring the highest of husbandry, safety and production while contributing to the success of a dynamic and growing aquaculture business.

About the Role

The Production Supervisor supports the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Yumbah Kangaroo Island. The role is responsible for leading and coordinating staff, ensuring safe and efficient production practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support the sustainability and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily cleaning, husbandry and feed management tasks.
  • Manage feed schedules and plan stock movements.
  • Monitor site compliance with OH&S standards and procedures.
  • Accurately collect, record and report production data to support decision-making.
  • Provide effective leadership, training and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Contribute to operational planning and site improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure OH&S compliance across the site.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Previous aquaculture production experience, particularly with abalone or shellfish.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent time management and planning.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transport and current driver's licence.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
