We're seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to join Essential Energy. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of major capital and operational projects and programs, ensuring alignment with our strategic business and asset management objectives.

This role has a preferred location of Dubbo, however, anywhere within our operational footprint will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, both internal and external.
  • Deliver projects and programs safely, efficiently, and within scope, time, and budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental, and risk management.
  • Oversee procurement, contract management, and governance processes.
  • Prepare business cases and reports for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, workforce planning, and resource forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, change control, and reporting standards.
  • Support strategic planning and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.

About You

You're a results-driven leader with a strong background in infrastructure delivery and project management. You thrive in complex environments and are passionate about driving excellence and innovation in program execution.

Qualifications & Certifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Diploma in Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMI PMP, PRINCE2).

Desirable:

  • White Card, Driver's License.
  • Contract Management or WHS qualifications.
  • Auditing experience.

Experience

  • Extensive experience in construction and infrastructure project delivery.
  • Proven leadership in managing large, complex programs.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation and administration.
  • Skilled in business case development and strategic planning.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced project and program management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and risk management expertise.
  • Ability to lead change and foster high-performing teams.
