About the role

Join the dynamic team at East West Energy as a Solar Electrician/Team Leader. In this full-time role based in Pakenham, VIC, you'll play a critical part in the company's mission to provide sustainable energy solutions to the local community. As a Solar Electrician/Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of skilled electricians to install, maintain and repair residential and commercial solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee a team of solar installers to efficiently complete solar installation and maintenance projects
  • Manage project timelines, resources and quality control to deliver exceptional service to customers
  • Troubleshoot and repair solar power systems, identifying and resolving any electrical issues
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on solar solutions
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solar technologies and processes
  • Provide on-site supervision and mentoring to support the professional development of the team

What we're looking for

  • Qualified electrician with experience in the solar industry
  • Strong technical expertise in the installation, maintenance and repair of residential and commercial solar power systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Commitment to safety and a deep understanding of relevant electrical and construction regulations

  • Relevant licences desirable such as;

  • Victorian A-Grade license

  • SAA grid connected PV systems
  • SAA grid connected battery systems
  • Work at heights
  • EWP license
  • Forklift license
  • Unrestricted manual drivers license
