**The Client**

Our client specializes in major repairs and overhauls of Explosive Trucks used in mining, based at their Bibra Lake workshop. The company has recently been awarded several ongoing maintenance contracts and are seeking to expand their team of Mechanical and Fabrication Trades Assistants.

**Fabrication Trades Assistants**

Assisting Boiler Makers & Welders, the work as a Fabrication TA may comprise of the following;
- M**easuring & Marking Up Steel**:Tube, Pipe, late, I Beams, U Channel, Checker Plate
- **Cutting Steel**: Grinder, Drops Saw or Oxy
- **Laying Steel Out**: Reading Off plants, laying out cut steel onto workshop floor
- **Welding**:Depending on Experience - Tacking laid out steel through to Welding - MIG Flux Cored (GMAW)
- **Grinding**: Grinding welds through to steel

**Mechanical Trades Assistants**

Working with Tradesmen the Mechanical Trades Assistant will be covering both Automotive and Fixed Plant. The work can cover Truck chassis components such as suspension, brakes, gearboxes, axels, wheel ends and some diesel engine work.

The fixed plant components are predominately Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Electrical systems which can cover hydraulic & pneumatic hose replacements, pipe spools, valves, hoppers, augers, compressors and pumps.
- **TA Mechanical or Fabrication**:Automotive / Trucks / Mobile Plant
- **TA Mechanical or Fabrication**:Fixed Plant - Ore Processing
- **TA Mechanical or Fabrication**:Assembly of Automotive, Mobile Plant or Fixed Plant Assembly
- **TA Mechanical**:Workshop or Field Service - Light Vehicle, Trucks or Mobile Plant
- **TA Fabrication**:Worked in Fabrication Workshop
- **TA Fabrication**: 2nd & 3rdClass Welders
- **Partially completed a Mechanical or Fabrication related apprenticeship**
- **Have a positive attitude possessing initiative, intelligence and good organisational skills**
- **Conducts themselves in a highly professional manner at all times in a workshop environment**
- **Be reliable, punctual and have a great work ethic**
- **Be physically fit with the ability to undertake physically demanding tasks**
- **Be safety conscious**
- **Take pride in your work**
- **Have contactable references**
- **Be a permanent resident with full working rights**
- **Possess a Current Drivers Licence and reliable Vehicle**

**Duration**

Duration is expected to range from 3 months to 6 + months, where our client will seriously look at Temp to Perm scenarios and even Apprenticeships, if you perform your duties to a high standard, have a positive attitude and strong work ethic you may be signed onto our clients books as a Perm Employee.

**Remuneration**

Depending on your experience and skills the pay rates will be between;
- **$32.00 to $40.00 Per hour **(Flat)
- **+ Super**
- **Paid Weekly**

**Job Types**: Casual, Temp to perm

**Salary**: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
