Job Overview:

Your role will consist of working on a web-based software development project.  You will be on a high-traffic, high-uptime sites, with a focus on building a feature-rich and highly scalable platform.

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge web technologies, leveraging these along with high-scalability design.  This is a truly unique opportunity to grow your skillset, learning from our teams experience.

Development Language & Frameworks Requirements:
  • PHP (7/8 + Laravel Framework)
  • SQL (MySQL/MariaDB)
  • HTML/jQuery
It's preferred if you also have experience with:
  • NoSQL databases like MongoDB and ElasticSearch
  • REST API's and JSON
  • ReactJS frontend development
  • Mobile development
Responsibilities and Duties:


• Writing back-end code (PHP) to specifications


• Writing front-end code (HTML/jQuery, others in ReactJS)


• Participating in scoping and design sessions, providing feedback and input into future development


• Working to, and updating your assigned tasks in our project management app (Jira)


• Committing your code frequently, including a bullet point lists of changes in each commit


• Be responsive to discussions on Slack

Skills Required:


• Clear, frequent and detailed communication – you must be comfortable and confident communicating updates, and provide details in your summaries and comments


• Ability to work quickly, to a time limit – our projects are all based on set milestones, with certain parts of the application being due by a set time

Working Hours


• Work from home option, up to 4 days a week after onboarding


• Hours will be flexible, with the option to start between 8AM and 10AM, at your preference


• The role will be full time - Monday to Friday


• Office is located in Springwood, Brisbane, Queensland


• Initially 5 days in the office during your onboarding period

Confidentiality

You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement at the beginning of this role. This agreement is to protect our clients' confidential information, which you will have access to as part of your role.

You will be privy to certain confidential information and trade secrets as part of this role, and the strictest adherence to this confidentiality agreement will be required and enforced.
