As the Communications & Marketing Advisor, Social at the University of Melbourne, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing social media strategies that enhance the institution's global reputation. You'll have the opportunity to create compelling content, provide expert advice across the university, and drive engagement with diverse audiences. Your role will directly impact how the university communicates its research, teaching, and unique campus experiences, making this a key position for those passionate about digital communications in higher education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Social Media Channels: Support the moderation and growth of university social media platforms to enhance brand reputation.
- Create Engaging Content: Produce and distribute innovative, shareable content across social media channels.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer support and training on social media strategy, operation, and reporting across the university.
- Drive Strategic Planning: Collaborate on content calendar planning, production, and publishing for divisional groups.

You are a digital communications professional with strong experience in social media strategy, excellent content creation skills, and a passion for driving engagement in a complex higher education environment.
You may also:
- Have a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrate successful delivery of social media initiatives in large, complex organisations.
- Show strong experience in social media content development and copywriting.
- Exhibit a proven track record in delivering exceptional client service.
