About the role
Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Executive Team, the General Manager Digital & Marketing is provided with a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the future of netball in Victoria.
Leading a small, talented team, you will bring proven creativity in marketing, digital and communications landscapes. Equally, you are commercial minded and capable of building strong partnerships at a variety of levels. This role combines big-picture strategy with hands-on delivery, so you will need to be agile, adaptable and focused.
With a diverse portfolio across Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, leadership and delivery across:
- Digital growth & content - delivering strategies, platforms and storytelling that amplify our reach.
- Brand & marketing – shaping campaigns that grow awareness, participation and fan engagement.
- Events & operations – ensuring world-class experiences at Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens events.
- Commercial partnerships – driving revenue growth through sponsorship, innovation and activation.
- Media & communications – strengthening relationships with broadcast, media and key stakeholders.
- Leadership and Culture –inspiring and leading a high performing team where collaboration and teamwork rule the day
What you will bring:
- Significant experience (7 + years) in marketing and communications ideally within sport or entertainment.
- Proven leadership experience (3+ years) with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Tertiary qualification and/or professional experience in Marketing, Communications, Sports/Business Management, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise of marketing principles and across marketing disciplines, including digital, brand, communications and automation.
- A track record of driving growth, brand engagement and revenue outcomes.
- Hands-on capability in digital platforms, content and analytics.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in revenue growth and partner management
- Exposure to event operations, broadcast and game day requirements will be highly regarded
- A passion for sport and a clear understanding of sporting environments from grassroots to elite level.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
