WE'RE HIRING MENTAL HEALTH DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS

Christies Beach, SA  Casual Position | Morning, Afternoon & Sleepover Shifts

We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and experienced male and female Mental Health Disability Support Workers.

You'll be supporting a 12-year-old female client living with a history of:

  • absconding
  • giving threats and intimidation
  • non-compliant behaviours (such as resisting support)
  • physical and verbal aggression
  • self-harm
  • suicidal ideation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • 2+ years experience with children/youth with complex behaviours
  • Background in mental health preferred
  • assertive
  • stoic
  • knows how to set boundaries
  • doesn't take things personally
  • Pay Rate: $34.44/hour (SCHADS Award Level 2.1)

Shift Schedules:

  • 6 am- 9:30 am
  • 6:30 am - 9:30 am
  • 12:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 9:30 am (the following day)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Valid AU Driver's License + Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Updated First Aid & CPR Certifications
  • Relevant Disability Certifications
