John Valves are experiencing significant growth, meaning this roles has and will become more and more important.  The People and Culture Champion role will directly support the organisation to attract, onboard and support our team, and develop and promote our culture, as well as ensure we are legally ahead of any possible issues.

John Valves have been providing valves and related supplies for nearly 130 years, and have built a reputation as one of Australia's leading valve manufacturers and suppliers.

We offer a wide range of high-quality valves, manufactured right here in Australia, providing to clients across Australia and all over the world.

About the Role

This full-time role, based in Ballarat, Victoria, is a critical position to support the planned growth and expansion of John Valves across Australia.

It will drive culture, recruitment, people and policy development, and provide direct support to management in the attraction and retention of our highly skilled team.

This position requires a superstar personality who will responsible for;

  • Supporting senior managers in the development of strategic workforce plans to address current and future staff resource requirements,
  • Collaborates across all levels of the organisation to deliver seamless staff support, direction and development outcomes,
  • Recruitment, on-boarding and induction of new staff,
  • Identify, develop and deliver training and onboarding sessions both in person and online,
  • On-going staff development,
  • Develop and implement Retention strategies to support the business,
  • Aligning staff and culture,
  • In-person and online team support using platforms such as Zoom, Word, Excel, Outlook and project management software
  • Accurate interpretation of a diverse range of industry awards
