About Berry Street School's

The Berry Street School is a specialist independent secondary school with four campuses located in Ballarat, Morwell, Narre Warren and Shepparton. We offer an adaptation of the Victorian Curriculum for years 7–10, and the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) for years 11-12.

Our School exists to provide high-quality education to young people with a history of adverse childhood experiences who are at risk of disengaging from their education. Our students may have significant gaps in their academic achievement and present with complex behaviours within the school setting.

About the role

Oversee the Student Wellbeing Program at the Campus; including developing and/or implementing student wellbeing strategies and programs and play a key role in implementing BSEM (Berry Street Education Model)

Liaise with students, families/carers and care teams to support student attendance and engagement whilst developing the abilities of staff to implement wellbeing strategies.

Be a champion of Child Safety at the Ballarat campus.

About You

A Bachelor's degree qualification in Education, Social Work, Youth Work or Welfare is a requirement for this role with preferred experience in an educational setting. Applicants with a diploma and at least five years experience will be considered.
