About the role

Ireland Civil Contracting PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter - Leading Hand/Team Leader to join our dynamic construction team. This is a Full Time role, offering the opportunity to take on a leadership position and guide a team of skilled carpenters on complex construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing a team of carpenters and ensuring the timely and efficient installation of formwork components
  • Providing guidance and direction to the team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete tasks to a high standard
  • Coordinating the workflow and managing the allocation of tasks within the team
  • Monitoring quality and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing solutions to keep the project on track
  • Liaising with project managers, engineers, Supervisor and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any concerns
  • Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their skills and expertise

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Formwork Carpenter, with a proven track record of leading and managing a team
  • Strong carpentry skills and knowledge of formwork construction techniques
  • Experience in Civil works is essential. Cast-insitu stormwater drainage structures and Bridges
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
  • Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and safety standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and stakeholders
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
