Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager.  Join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in providing overall leadership and management of designated projects from conversion, through construction to handover and finalisation. Reporting to Senior Project Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Oversee and manage Sub-Contractors to achieve defined project objectives in a way that fosters repeat business with each client and builds/maintains positive relationships with contractors, consultants and architects, whilst maximising profitability.
  • Develop and implement profit targets, formulate and implement strategies to achieve them + Manage project expenditure and cash flow to optimise financial outcome.
  • Ensure project quality systems are established and followed diligently, including hands on management and intervention as required.
  • Establish project administrative systems and manage in accordance with company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Actively seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas where opportunities for business improvements can be realised.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualified in either a building or engineering discipline, or a trades background is required.
  • Extensive experience in site-based construction roles that have provided experience in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Exceptional knowledge of WHS implementation procedures and a proficient background working knowledge of project Zero Harm requirements.
  • Good working understanding of the principles of 'Forecast Cost at Completion.
  • Knowledge of industrial relations issues and landscape to achieve outcomes in line with company objectives.
  • Understanding of industry suites of building contracts and building contracts law.
