We have an exciting
opportunity for community members to join the Wagga to Ladysmith Rail Trail
Steering Committee.
The Committee has been
established to provide strategic direction, oversight, and advice for the
development of the proposed Wagga Wagga to Ladysmith Rail Trail. The Committee
will ensure alignment with the NSW Rail Trails Framework, Council resolutions,
and regional priorities, while providing an avenue for broad community input
and a forum for communication and consultation between landowners, the
community, Council, and government representatives.
Duties of this position
will include but are not limited to:
- Representing
community perspectives in discussions of the committee. - Assisting in the
planning and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities in
collaboration with Council. - Supporting the
identification of funding opportunities and contributing to draft submissions
for Council's consideration.
What you will need to
succeed
- Understanding of
the role of advisory committees. - Experience
contributing to projects that support community, cultural, or regional growth. - Live in the Wagga
Wagga Local Government Area. - Commitment to
working to work collaboratively with other committee members and stakeholders.

Assessment of
applications will be conducted in accordance with Council's Appointment of organisation community and individual citizen members to
Council Committees Policy (POL 117) and reported to Council for

voluntary non-remunerated position with three positions available.
